SLP's Loudmouth or Loudmouth II may be just what you're looking for. They're a little loud for my taste, and should you decide the same, their exhaust is modular so you can swap out the resonators for their Powerflo mufflers. Check out www.slponline.com.

I have a 99 gt with stock manifolds, off road x-pipe, and side exit glasspacks (by magnaflow), and the *** thing is so loud it rattles my teeth.  If you want a really mean throaty sound I would suggest something similar.

I can tell you from experience about the SLP loudmouth. I had it on my 01 GT, for two 1/2 years. When SLP says it is the loudest exhaust on the market, well that is simply truth in advertising. (i had Harley guys tell me that it was really loud) The system sounds GREAT in town and people well definately know you are on the road, actually the will hear you about 4 blocks away. The real drawback is at highway cruising speeds. Unless you change the gears to get out of the dreaded drone range the Loud Mouth is not user friendly. I could only take it for about 30-45 miles at a time. Your radio will be useless and you will not be able to have a conversation with anyone without screaming. If you ONLY do in town driving then *** YEAH go for it. While i loved the intown sound, the cruising speed drone was too much to overcome (makes a nice weekend roadtrip feel like finals week after some hard drinking), Needless to say the Loudmouth will not be making an appearance on my 07 GT.
