I have a 2003 Mustang Gt that is a 5-speed. It has 4.10 gears, super chips tuner, 70mm throttle body, K&N filter and flow master exhaust. The problem I have is with the traction control system. Is there a way to disable it permantly or set it up so when I want it on I can then turn it on. Its sucks when I take off sometimes and it stumbles cause of the traction control. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I have an 03 GT 5 spd.  Yours should have come with a traction control off button.  Normally located between the rear defrost and fog light button.  So far I have learned that if you turn it off it stays off until you push the button and turn it back on.  Now if you turn the car off it will automatically reset and the traction control will turn back on.

Well I have an 04 GT and an 05 GT both 5 speeds. Both have the button to turn it off and new stangowner is right as soon as you turn the car off the traction control will come on the next time you fire her up. There is a kit out there you can buy that will make it possible to turn off your traction control and it will stay off regardless if you shut the car down then crank it back up. It will only turn back on when you press that button again. Also I know that even if you turn the traction control off it will still kick on under extreme conditions. The car has three levels of traction control. When your press the button I’ve been told it just bumps it down to level one. The kit I was talking about makes it were you can turn traction control totally off. I don’t know were to find this kit but I have a buddy that has it on his 03 GT 5speed. Ill ask him about it and post were to find it later.
