I am starting to build my 5.0 up and the performance parts as of right now arent really that important.  I am putting on a Parker funnel web intake with a 750 cfm holley double pumper with a 110 gph blue pump and a pro billet distributor to get me started.  What I was looking for was around 900 HP or w/e it takes  toget to 9 sec 1/4 mile times.  I wanted to here some of the combos you guys did to get some ideas thanks!  

for starters you`ll need to have $15,000.00 at least on hand 900hp would be blown or turbo`d programmable computer crane dfi gen 7,f.a.s.t fuel injection, haltech,AEM etc.good block-man-o-war,boss block,dart iron-eagle 4 bolt mains thicker webs thicker cyl. walls maincap girdle,good rotating assy,eagle stroker mine was 347 good heads victor senior,fuel system to accomadate 1100hp Iused set-up from aeromotive call them they`ll send info on how to build the set-up needed list goes on and on 900hp on the street is twice as expensive as a track only 900hp have 30g`s into mine,1027hp on the steet,no paint,no cage,no heavy foot yet mine has procharger D1R hope this starts you on your journey jou will no doubt change modify,haggle just remember research is your best friend don`t just throw stuff on and hope it works
