Put the throttle body in my 1990 lx 5.0 coupe and now I cant shut my hood. It sits to high. Wrong throttle body, maybe for a 351windsor? Also why is there a coolant line running to the throttle body? I see in magazines everyone seems to have that line comming off the spacer or throttle body capped off. When I bought the car it was like that. Dont know why now it bothered me. Anyone know whats up with that?
Thanks.

dont know why the hood isnt shutting, as for the coolant line it is used for cold weather to keep the trottle body from getting to cold and staying shut kinda like carb heat. capping it off is a good idea if you dont live where it snows. it is kind of a pain to get to the rear opening on heater core pipe you have to take off the upper plenum. if you decide to do it you may wanna take to screws to put in the heater core pipe and put rtv sealer on the then a rubber cap with some hose clamps. I didnt and the caps would get to hot and melt. or you can buy a pipe that does not the throttle body coolant fittings. the only thing it will do is let the incoming air stay a little cooler
