I HAVE A 89 LX WITH A 306 AND A AOD TRANS.
I JUST WANT TO KNOW HOW CAN I BEFF UP THIS COMBO? THE AOD AS A B&M SHIFT KIT,THE ENGINE,EDELBROCK UPPER AND LOWER INTAKE,E303 CAM AND A 70MM THROTTLE BODIE AND A COLD AIR INTAKE. BUT THE CAR STILL DONT MOVE OUT LIKE I WOULD LIKE IT TO,JUST ASKING FOR SO MUSTANG BUDDY HELP..  

try a f303 cam has a little more beef to it and sounds great. also some 355 gears a 3,200 stall and a set of heads like gt-40 x if you can afford them, under drive pullys headers and x-pipe and some flowmaster that should give you at least another 50-70 hp plus real good take off but remember you will want to put an ajustable fuel pressure reg and injectors and fuel rail if your set up is fuel injected

GET AFR 185 PORTED AND POLSHED HEADS THAY ARE WAY! BETTER THAN GT40 BUT PUT THAT 3,200 STALL CONVERTER AND IF YOU CAN PUT 373 GEARS AND I GARENTEE YOULL HAVE HEAD ACHES EVERY TIME YOU DRIVE YOU MUSTANG!  

the aod needs gears my 90 lx has 373s and a 2800 stall it gets out of the hole pretty quick gas mileage might suffer a bit but u didnt really specify what your intentions where with the car. dr
