Hey, I'm starting a 1989 street stang project. the car is without a motor and I need something that is both fierce and reliable. This car will be driven daily during the summers and i was hoping some of you experts would lend me some advice on how to accomplish what i'm shooting for.

Because reliablility is a factor, and i don't want to throw away good money on an expensive block just to blow it up, i'd like to take a 351W punched .040 over and stroked to 3.750". That should make about 383 ci if my math serves me right (let me know if i'm wrong). i know i can stroke the block to 4" and bore it to 4.128 if i wanted to, but again, this has to be a reliable vehicle and I think with the smaller bore/stroke combination i'll be able to turn hopefully 7,500-8,000 rpms without grenading the thing. Here's a list of what i'm thinking the block should consist of, again, if there's anything you can help me out on i'd appreciate it.

Dart Iron Eagle 351W bored .040 over
Scat 4340 forged 3.750 crank (forged should handle 7,500+ i'd think)
Eagle 4340 forged rods
Probe 11:1 forged pistons (might drop to 10.5:1 to turn 8,000 RPM)
AFR 225 Heads 2.08/1.60 intake/exh
Comp or Lunati Cam 108 LSA .660/.646 lift
Barry Grant 825 cfm Race Demon Gen. Comp.
Edelbrock Victor Jr. Single Plane Intake

that just about covers the basics of the engine. Again, if you guys have any ideas that could help me out or if you think this engine is gonna explode please let me know and tell me what i should change.
