Hey I just bought a 83 crimson cat can anyone tell me some facts about what you know with these cars. My car is a 5.0
5 speed.

i heard that only 805 1983 mercury capri crimson cats were made.

also they made the car only for mid year 83 and then discontinued the crimson cat.They made only 805 total,the rs edition was optional with the 5.0/5spd combo,it came with a black-out treatment interior featuring red inserts,also special for the crimson cat it had gold pinstriping and gold mercury letters on the hood and gold 5.0 emblems..The crimson cat also offered a flat hood with no scoops and came with the trx wheels.The color name is bright red.The horse power is 175 hp @4200rp and 245torque,the car weights 3012 pounds and does 0-60 in about 7 seconds and runs the 1/4 mile in the low 15s at an even 90mph.
