Okay, it's my turn to say I screwed up. I removed and disassembled the throttle body from my stang because it seemed (to me at least) that the throttle blades were not opening all the way. After finding no internal adjustments I reassembled and reinstalled the TB and now all the engine will do is start and idle. It won't advance the throttle at all and I've rechecked the internals and the drive motor and drive gear are rotating but when I install it the same problem is there.

Any advice anyone?

There is a small plastic stabilizer, if you are facing the front of the TB, on the what would be your right, it is covered by a black plastic sheild, which has several torque bolts holding it in place. It has to be turned/rotated so the spring which is resting in it has a certain amount of tension, or the throttle blades won't rotate open, and it will send a message to the pc that there is no airflow. I installed a BBK TB and mine would actually cut right back off. when I plugged my programmer in, it kept saying throttle response error, or something of that nature. Check with your local ford mechanic to see how far to rotate plastic spring receiver, as it actually regulates the tension on the throttle blades. Sounds alot like what was wrong with my car. Hope this helps, if that is the problem you may have.
