General question about the MK VII... I have
recently purchased a 1988 Lincoln Mk VII My question is that I am interested in converting the car to a manual transmission
the car came w/ a 5.0L engine as well as a AOD trans in it.  I am told that the car is basically a mustang w/ a lincoln body, is this correct? if so can a T-5 be installed along w/ the clutch pedal assem. cable ect? also can I just simply install a mustang manual computer as well?  Any imput would be appriciated thanks.  

yes its all the same. before my 89 lx that i have now i had a 89 black lsc. thay are a blast. you can also use headers and h pipes for the same year mustang.as for the five speed you will have to do some work to the shifter hole in the console.if you check some of the back issues of mmff they had an all LSC drag out. 2 of them had sticks. hope that helps
