I have a 90 5.0 lx it has bbk cold air intake bbk headers and cat back exhaust.  Besides that it is mostly stock. I was told that for more bang for my buck  - a carburetor would be the way to go. I have been on another website trying to get some feedback but no such luck. I was hoping that real stang people could point me inthe right direction.Thank you for any input

No no no! Leave that beautiful fuel injection alone! That's way too much work man! If you want some more power, get yourself an upper and lower intake set up and change your throttle body and egr spacer. If moneys tight, just do your throttle body and egr. You won't see huge gains til u start playing with heads, etc. But whatever you do, don't listen to whoever is feeding you that stuff. If solid streetable turnkey fun is what you want, stick with what you got! Good luck (O and get some gears too!)

leave it the way it is.the money you will spend to change it over is not worth it.if you must have a carb do what i did and buy one that has all ready been changed. but i will say i still wish i had fuel injection

I just changed my 89 over to carb. I absolutely love it. I got a msd 6al box at a swap meet for a hundred bucks. Bought a holley from a buddy for twenty bucks with the rebuild. Summit dual plane stage 2 intake...hundred bucks from swap meet. Made my own fuel pickup and ran some new lines up top. Billet distributor....68 bucks off ebay brand new. All in all I didn't spend too much money swapping it. The drivability isn't too much different if you know how to tune a carb. Now I have my platform for the blown 331 that's goin in it. You also shave a ton of weight off the front of your car. Not to mention you can hock all your mass airflow stuff...computer...intake...everything on ebay...speed density guys will eat it up. It will probably pay for itself.
