It could honestly be several things. I am currently having the same issue with my '93. Everything checks out fine. I have a brand new MSD Distributor, MSD 6A, MSD TFI Coil, Motorsport wires and Autolite 3924 plugs. The next thing to check is if you have pulse at the injectors. This will rule out the pickup in the distributor. You could have a broken ignition grounding wire to the ECU, bad ECU or even just a bad ground somewhere. Start with the basics like checking all fuses. Make sure your distributor is turning. The gear can get chewed up, although unlikely. Start with that and see what you get.

Try the pick up coil in the DIST.

An 86 and 93 are a bit different. On the 86 replace the coil pick up in the distibuter, and it's been awhile but if you have a capisitor on your coil replace it for it triggers the coil discharge circuit. On the 93 replace the electric module going into the distributor.
