if the camaro is in good shape, it sounds kinda low on price. try to talk him down a few more dollars, buy it, resell it, then buy the mustang and use your profit to enhance it.

okay, from experience  will tell u to go with the ford. I paid $1200.00 for a 91 firebird w/ 305 v8 and modified it then raced it, everything went wrong with it so i replaced them, then i blew a rod. I recently paid $200.00 for a 93 lx thunderbird w/ 3.8 v6 (knocking loudly). paid 300 for a 93 3.8 v6 from a cougar w/ 60,xxx miles. spent about 150 on parts and help putting in. then another 310 on air intake and exaust mods, now i could have smoke the gm v8 with my powerful v6 3.8. *** chevy stick w/ a born champ. ford = First On Race Day.

That has got to be the most retarded question i have ever heard in this forum. If you were a true ford fan then you wouldnt even consider buying that GM crap. Now buying the GM just to sell to make a profit is maddness. Dont promote that garbage!!!!!!! You came to this forum so i think you already know the answer to your question. Lets be smart about this and think about it !!!!!!!!!

I'll have to say that once upon a time I felt the same way, but as I've gotton older I realized that Ford wasn't paying me money to drive their cars, and at one time they weren't even making anything I wanted to buy.  That's when it came to me that 'I' didn't owe Ford anything, but as a loyal Ford customer for years, they owed me something; a car that I'd want to buy.  After all, that is there job.  Life's too short to drive cars that you really didn't want in the first place because you're more loyal to some company than they are to you.   A fine example is when I bought my GMC pick-up a few years ago.  Comparing the GMC to the F-150 that a freind had, the GMC 5.3L had more power than the 5.4L Ford, got 3 more MPG, faster, more creature comforts (WAY more, I might add), and you can actually change the plugs & wires yourself in 1/2 hour. If Ford builds a car that I want, I'll be the first in line.  If I were to like two cars equal and one was a Ford and the other a GM, I'd pick the Ford.  Through & through I'm a Mustang Man.  My favorite is the '87-'93's, as that's what I grew up with.  And the fact that you can make them run w/ just about anything.  Hopefully Ford will one day build a 'replica' version of this car.  I'd be the 1st in line.

I think the same thing. Everybody says FORD is found on the road dead. But your right First On Racing Day. Fords Rock the racing world!

Hey man, Id chill. Last I checked there arnt any mustangs running 500hp without adding a LOT of boost. While an ls1 camaro backed with a 6 speed manual is alot more potent on an all motor set up.

Dont get me wrong. I own a 1966 Mustang. And am currently torn between weather I want to find another classic "probably a v8 chevy" or a 5.0 80's mustang.

So heres a question:- Do you guys think something like say a 1988 5.0 5spd hardtop notchback stang would be a good car for a relitively new driver? My 1966 stang is just a 200cid 6cyl with a 3 speed cruise o matic tranny. What really got me looking at these 80's stangs is price, power, and fun. I dont like the 80's camaro body style and I just think a 5spd mustang would be funner than a automatic 350 irocz camaro "i dont beleive in the 305 motor".

K, I am confussed now, you are in a ford site but smooching chevy buttocks???  What gives??  Now if you look at one little thing on the production thingy you said, not too many stangs produced 500 ponies out of the factory but chevy does, that's cause we like to produce our own 500 pony ponies!! (not to mention a price tag on a production 500hp ride!!)

I guess chevy fans just buy what chevy tells em to, almost like they have no imagination to "CREATE" their own badarse rides.  Oh well I'm just sayin though!
