This is a comlicated question..
I *think* I read this in one of the MM&FF mags a while back.
In one of the articals, it mentioned "they were not going to port the heads to save money because porting the heads with superchared application does not yeild as much horsepower as apposed to a turbo." I can't find the artical to save my life so I'm not exactly sure what was said.
Somthing along those lines. I'm gonna build up my S197 GT soon and I'm still deciding on the power adder I want to use. It's either gonna be a turbo or a Whipple. The car will have 3v heads and a 4.6-5.0 stroker kit in it (forged rotating assembly).
1. Which application (Turbo or Supercharger) would ported heads yeild the best results? 2. Which application (turbo or supercharger) would performance cams yeild the best results? 3. Which application would both ported heads and performance cams yeild the best results?
Thanks you very much.
