im not sure what is going on with my transmission because most of the time it works great and once and awhile it wont go past 45mph so im not sure what is up i had to take my truck into the shop for recall work and asked them, they claimed its internal and they will take it apart for 1700. so if any one could help or has had this happen to them and let me know what it might be. thanks again  

you can buy a rebuilt t-5 for less than that.  I think I picked up my rebuilt one for $800 bucks.  Just look for tranny ads in the back of MMFF and call around.  Paying $1,700 bucks just to open it up wouldn't be worth it at all.
