I have a 92 GT and my headlights will flicker on and off. Only the headlights go out and sometimes the speedo cluster. If i hold the brights on the lights will work but if i let go then they continue to flicker. Also when i push my brights on only the drivers side gets bright and they are new bulbs. Can someone help? I had the same kind of trouble with my 89 GT. It was the headlight switch on mine and sounds like thats your problem to. These cars have a history of these switches over heating and even melting the switch housing and the wires. I ordered a new switch from 50resto.com and havent had any more problems. Hope this helps.  

i popped it out once and it was very warm so that probably is the problem. Thanks you just saved me labor costs at my local ford dealer!
