I have a 95 GT convertible. It started shaking violently awhile back, and it took several gearheads many trials to find the problem. My PCM was faulty. I would reset it by connecting the two unhooked battery terminals, and it would run great; until I shut it off. I changed the PCM, and now it still shakes, and runs much worse, but won't reset. What do I do? Is there a chip I was supposed to put in it? please help, I want my car back!!!

I don't mean to ignore your PCM diagnosis but have you checked the harmonic balancer.  As far as I know it is the only thing that I have seen, aside from catastrophic failure, that will cause a violent shake.  They have rubber between the inner section and the outer ring, when that rubber goes look out.

Just something worth checking.

No, I did not check it. Since the problem was instantly cured everytime I reset the computer, I assumed that was the location. Could resetting the computer do anything to the harmonic balancer? When I would unhook the battery, and connect the terminals, it stopped shaking completely, and ran like it used to. That lead me to believe it was not mechanical, since it was off and on by control. Thanks for your input, I will check it out. Any more advice would be great.

The computer will have no effect on the balancer, I only suggested it because you had replaced the PCM and it didn't fix your problem.
My '94's went out about 6 months ago at around 135,000 miles. I pulled the balancer off to have it fall into two pieces in my hands lol.

All you need to do to check it is grab the outer edge of it and if you can move it back and forth substancially it has probably gone.  The check has no cost and takes a couple minutes to do.

Damn, I was hoping you were right. I checked and the balancer is fine. What about the catastrophic failure you spoke of - I think I have that! Anyway, it is off to Ford to the computers, to see if they can figure it out I'll let everyone know what happened, so if it ever happens to anyone else, they won't be as lost as I am.
