Fox intake into SN95

Hey I have a 94 GT and I am wanting to install a 87-93 upper and lower intake instead of the factory 94 intake.  I know it sounds silly but this makes things a little easier when it comes to working on my car.  I do not have to worry about buying additional parts for aftermarket intakes, and deletes the EGR tube going to the header.
Can anyone give me some pointers on how to make this work?  Or if this can even be done.  I have heard it can be and have seen some 302's slapped into V-6 cars with the Fox intake but am not sure if it is possible with the existing GT's wiring (sensor harness').
Thanks

Yes, it's very possible.  I converted to a fox style intake when I put a 351W in my '95.  You'll need to replace the tps and iac sensor connectors to the fox style.  And plug up the egr fitting on the right side header.  It was a while ago and I can't remember if I had to do anything with the throttle cable or not.  Look for info on the Saleen S351 from '94 and up for more pointers of you need to.  Hope this helps.  Reply further if you need some more tips.

A guy off EBAY gave me a shout, he had some parts forsale and stated that he put a Fox intake on his 95.  He mentioned a throttle cable, TPS harness but did not mention anything about the idle air control.  He may have forgotten too a few things.  Could I just get the cable and harness' out of a fox or do I have to order them special from somewhere?
I know it does sound silly but after working on Foxes for over 17 years the set up just seems easy...lol

I don't believe the IAC connectors are the same.  I had an old harness from a 4 cylinder car and swapped the TPS and IAC connectors.  Just cut and splice.  I still can't remember about the throttle cable.  I recommend finding a fox car and robbing the harness and cable so you'll have everything you might need.  I'm sorry I can't remember exactly what I did because I rewired my PCM connector for a A9L computer at the same time and had to add a baro sensor to the harness.

I believe that Trick Flow sells an adapter elbow to convert there intakes to the SN95 style and I would guess that it would probably work on other fox style intakes as well.  They would also know exactly what you need for the conversion

That would make sence using the adapter for the aftermarket intake.
I have kicked around wanting to get the BBK SSI intake and trying to stuff it under my SN hood.  That is probably the main reason I am wanting to try and make this whole thing work.

The only problem with just adding an adapter is that I am still messing with that stupid EGR set up.  Ford should have just left things the way they were until they introduced the 4.6 in the Mustang.
There is so much on this 94 I want to rip out and change to the way the Fox is set up.

Between that and the '94's computer not liking cam mods is the main reason mine is mostly stock other than the exhaust and IRS.  When I get back into modding I will go back to a fox like my last car or an '01+

Has anyone ever used an EGR Simulator?  I have read some posts but they were absolutely no help.  There is always someone who goes "off topic" and hyjacks a post by talking about something else.
My car of course has the EGR deleted with a block-off plate and the air tube has been removed along with all the smog mess.  I have seen EGR Simulators that trick the computer and will turn off the Check Engine Light (CEL).  Has anyone used one of these or is currently running one?  I have read where people make short cuts and splice here and cut wires here, and basically mess with things they have no business messing with to turn off the light.  My car does have a miss at normal running speeds and it does buck a little here and there sometimes.  It is tuned to the best it can be tuned but the miss will not go away.  I read where a guy got one and installed it, having the same problems I am having and the simulator solved the hesitation, and miss he was having.  What do you guys think?
