I just got this mercury capri, it has 113000 original miles on it. It has a 5.0 ho with a 4 barrel holly carb on it. It is all stock. Unmolested, so i thought. When i try to open her up she starts to choke out or chug at about 4000 rpms. I was thinking it may be the carb. I took it to a guy and he said that two vaccum lines werent hooked up and the egr was plugged. He also thought that made the 4 barrel not open. Whats the benefits of doing that? He said he couldnt fix it cuz he didnt have the book or know how. So if i hook the lines back to the carb will it open my 4 barrel back up?
