I'm new 2 tha forum here and am lookin 4 some help. I picked up an 86 Mercury Capri the body is an orig. v8 piece. By the looks the dash has been out and not sure if someone replaced it w/ a 4cyl dash. also the wiring just inside the car and out to the fire wall is not in the best condition but i have been thru a few of these and it looks to be usable. Now.... the engine and tran in this vehicle i just installed out of a 91GT that i picked-up cheap ($1500) and drove it to the shop, so i know that all of the necessary components are workin fine. The trouble I'm havin is the wiring. there is an 8 pin plug brown in color that is attached to the engine harness, what roll does this plug play, and can it be integrated into the 86 or do i need to swap the dash wiring harness from the 91,.. and if i do this will my 86 cluster work correctly. thnx
