How rare is a 1984 ford mustang gt turbo fuel injected 2.3 L. engine with turbo the car has original 81,117 miles on the whole car i was just wondering i have had it a couple of years and i cant hardly find any parts for it.

I HAVE A 83 TURBO GT AND WAS WONDERING THE SAME THING I DO KNOW IN 83 THERE WERE ONLY 604 MADE AND MINE ONLY HAS 70,000 MILES SO I AM KEEPING IT . I AM PUTTING A 85 SVO MOTOR AND TURBO WITH INTERCOOLER ETC.

They are rare (only made in late '83 and early '84) but how many total is unknown. They were also made in convertible form in '84 only.

Some turbo 4's were installed in the 20th aniversary mustang hatchbacks. The number I have is 350.

According to the "Fox Body Recognition Guide 1979-1993" on page 89, there were 3,241 GT Turbo hatchbacks and 731 GT Turbo convertibles made in 1984.
I highly recommend the book to anyone interested in Fox body Mustangs.

hey i have a 1984 gt turbo and ive been having some problems with it shut off when i was driving it and i had no idea what happend and then me and my friend removed the distribitor and there was some teeth missing so i put a new distributor in and it has spark and is getting but its still not starting any body have any ideas why?

hi guys. well ive been with my 89 5.0 lx scince i was 16. But my dad just went and bought a 83 svo. he got me so into the turbo 4's. and i just came across a 84 mustang gt turbo. but the previous owner put a 5.0 in it. but i am lucky and i picked up a 2.3 L engine and a T-5 tranny..it came with a t-3 turbo and i got one hell of a deal i only paid 500 for all that. and the 84 mustang gt turbo is only 300 and its a pretty solid car. Has some rust on the drivers side fender. But i happen to have a couple spair bcause of my 5.0. So i think im getting a pretty good deal on the car. Everyone else think so?
