Ok. I bought my 1994 ford mustang last year and have had absolutely no problems with it til yesterday. First off it overheats and what not i added water and antifreeze and it still overheats. when the car is idling at a stop sign or whenever i stop it leaves behind a cloud of white smoke which i presume is coolant smoke. I figure its something with the head gaskets or the water pump?? anyone ever had this problem or any thoughts on what to do? Thanks.

if its coming out the tail pipe the only way for it to get into the combustion chamber is the headgasket has a burnt spot in it letting the coolant get on top of the piston. you could have a cracked block but if the car seems to run normal then it is more than likly the head gasket. as the crack would play with your compression
