Hey folks, i have 1996 mustang gt with a 4.6 non-pi.  I recently fabricated a turbo set up for it the car is quick seems to run good going through boost but when i come to a stop sign the air/fuel ratio goes crazy rich and the engine wants the stall.  Currently i am just running an 8-1 FMU (which is what vortech runs i think?) a walbro high pressure 255lph in tank pump and 8psi of boost everything else regarding the engine and fuel management is stock.  I have tried a lot of different things to prevent it from stalling when i come to a stop eg: removing EGR vacuum line, adjusting bov, removing coolant temp connectors, eliminating stock fuel pressure regulator, removing PCV valve, etc.  There is no internal engine damage or blow-by and all mitchell on demand tells me is what i already know, I think i have double and triple checked everything so if anyone has had similar problems or has even a remote idea of what i can try help would be more than appreciated.

Thanks

Rooney

P.S. i have full intention of swapping the injectors MAF sensor in the near future

P.S.S. i really apologize for all the run on sentences

Is it still taking in boost at idle?  If so you need to adjust your blow-off valve after your turbo.

You'll probably need a bit of computer tuning. I've got the exact same issue with my turbo car. If you have the mass air meter set up before the turbo, you might not have a problem or as big of one. The blow-through meter, which is placed after the intercooler in the intake tract, is better for ultimate tuning, but usually requires some ECM changes to make it work correctly. Any competent tuner should be able to handle this for you.

Hey thanks for the help guys, i will try the taking in boost at idle thing, honestly i have never noticed.  The MAF sensor is located in front of the turbo.

Thanks
