hi all. new to the site but have had 7 mustangs and know a little of the ropes about the foxes. but the question i have now is that i have an '87 5.0 wrecked that i am taking the engine out and putting it in an old f100. so here is the question.... i am doing away with the FI and need to know any suggestions of what carb/intake/cam combo i should go with. here is the history of the motor... its as fresh as could be. was owned by an older person before my brother in law got hold of it and then he wrecked it weeks later. it has 76k original miles and untouched. just needs some gaskets and its in. i wont be touching the inside until it really needs it but would like to make a nice rumble out of it and retain a little stock power. again, its going to be a cruiser old truck and not a racer. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

I'd put in an E303 cam and use a Performer or Performer RPM intake and a 600 Holley or Speed Demon carb. Don't forget to use the original drive gear from your EFI distributor on the replacement distributor. It should make decent power with a nice idle. Hope this helps.
