I have a 85 gt hatch. I picked up a 87 gt hatch. I was wondering if and how hard would it be to replace the dash in the 85 with the one out of the 87. I have been pondering converting to the fuel injection. I have the complete 87 car. Both cars are 5 speeds. The most important answer I'm looking for is the dash swap.

Hi, im doing the same swap on my 85-gt... i can tell you right now its not a direct swap, the mounting points for the newer dash up by the windshield are off-set compaired to the 87 dash and will not match up with the bolt holes on the dash. you will need to make new mounting points by the windshield for it to bolt up.... as for the heater/ac stuff under the dash i have no clue if any of that needs to be swaped out, but what im doing is swaping all the heater/ac stuff as well just to make things easier. but to get everything to work on the dash you also need the under dash wiring harness, unless if your good with grafting harnesses together. i hope this helps a little.
