Does anyone know if you can swap the front clip off a 87-94 inplace of a 80-86 dual headlight front end and if so how much work is it? What parts?

It's actually not very complicated at all. The conversion consists of '87-'93 nose, hood , and fenders. There is no conversion to the '94 parts because '94 was the first year for the SN95 cars and the body is completely different.

I have a friend who did the conversion on his 81 coupe and it looks great and took him less than a day to complete.

If you need any more help let me know.

thanks,

Pete

This concept is just wrong.

There are so few of these cars left that it is a crime to ruin another one.  If you want an aero car, please buy one and sell your 4-eye to someone that appreciates it.

Owning a four-eye, I have to agree, I hate to see these rare (compared to the number of aeros) get converted.

that said, the only problem is wiring the headlights, b/c the four eye uses one light for high beams, one for low, while the aero uses one light to handle both. In some vehicles, you even have to rewire the light switch in the dash, not sure how Ford handled it on the Mustangs.

If you can find someone to do it, be different...use 91-up thunderbird headlights. it takes a little metal work, but why do you want to look like everyone else, eh?

i see aeros everywhere i own an 85 gt w/ t tops  in the three years ive owned it ive only seen maybe 6 or 7 other 4 eyed freaks around so please keep it original trust me youll get alot more praise.besides that if you convert you have to change the rear quater windows, taillights, cowl ,hood and everyone will still know its a conversion if they know anything. 4 eyes are sexy.keep roddin!

Its pretty easy. I have an 84lx I converted from a 4cyl to 5.0 and converted it from the 4 eye to the 87-93...Now after reading what everybody has said about the 4 eyes I have another stang with the 4 eyes that when i get around to rebuilding it i will keep that way!
