Well first off, what kind of budget do you have for performance upgrades? If it isn't a large sum, I'd go with an air intake, headers, high flow cats, and a full aftermarket exhaust (I recommend Flowmaster mufflers and a Bassani X-pipe). These modifications should make a noticeable increase in power and engine response.
Although you are looking for more power, I would definitely upgrade the suspension to go along with the extra power. As it is a convertable, I'd add on front and rear strut braces and sub-frame connectors. That should make the car more stable and handle much better.
If your budget is limitless (which everybody wishes), I would go through the entire engine. Bore and stroke it out to either a 331 or 347, stuff it with forged internals, a nice cam and lifters, rocker arms, etc. and have a blower or turbo set up installed and tuned at a respectable shop.
I hope this helps you out!!!
