I know I am probably approaching this mustang thing backwards since I just purchased my first fox body, an 87 LX meanwhile I already own an 07 california special which I bought new in dec 06 and have extensive mods done to it with much help from your mag.The problem is I cant find the piece you guys did on cheap set-up tips for a stocker (5.0) timing, air filter removal(track use)ect.I know I read it but as many times as I go through my old issues I cant find it.I am just looking to squeeze out a few extra ponies on the cheap (wifes toy).Any help you guys can give me would be great.Keep up the good work!

I found it!!!It was called the 10 minute tune up.To anyone else interested it recommended 13 to 15 degrees of timing,160 degree thermostat, removing the silencer in the fender, adding a K&N filter, icing the intake between runs and disconnecting the front swaybar for better weight transfer. If anyone else has any suggestions that would be great.

careful, If the wife drives this car daily in all types of weather that sway bar could come in handy when you lose control. Those things do work. But then again, I yanked mine off my 03 Cobra; what the hell it's not a DD, Sat. night cruise for some bow tie kills and hit the drag strip a few times in the summer.
