Hey y'all, I gota 2001 Bullitt mustang, the 2v has over 100,000 miles on it, and was warned that supercharging it at this stage could be hazardous to the motor. So, if im gonna spend the money, I might as well go all out. Im considering... A 390 v8 since thats what Steve McQuenn drove in the movie Bullitt, but will that fit in an 01? and what other mods will i have to do for it to work? Or do I go with a supercharged 5.4 ltr 6-speed combo, will that fit? Or just go with a supercharged 4v 4.6 be the best easiest option?

supercharged anything will be nice. I'd make your life easier and just slap a blower on a built short block, add some cams and have 390rwhp to pay homage to Stevie.

I could live with 390 rwhp! If I could keep the 2v reliable at that would be great!

I would do a supercharged 4.6 2v/4v, the 5.4 gets pretty big to fit if you're gonna throw on a supercharger, can't really put on long-tube hearders with the 5.4 either, but that's my .02$
