Hi Guys-

I'm retrofitting a rebuilt and modded 92 5.0 into my 82 Capri.  I'm straight on most of the wiring and sensors for the swap, but I'm not including any of the EGR stuff.  I've blocked the passages in the heads, eliminated the spacer in the intake and all that, but I need to know how the A9L (five speed) computer is going to react to the components not being there.  I have the pinouts and everything for the computer (complete custom re-wiring job).  Should I just leave the sensor and solenoid wires disconnected or do I need to fool it somehow with a resistor or something?  I'd like to keep using the stock computer for now until I can go with a standalone.  I've done a lot of work on this resto and am just about ready to drop the motor back in the car.  I'll post some pics if anyone is interested.  Thanks in advance!

[edit] after doing some more research, I just went ahead and bought a standalone EMS.  I figure it will be easier than monkeying with the old unit.  Thanks though...[edit]
