Stock 17 Bullitt Wheels?

Need new Tires and what wider then current 245/45/17... how wide can i go on the stock 17 bullitt wheels i think they are 17 by 8's?? thanks

you can upgare to the 255/45/zr17 but for high performance tires sizes are limited due to the low tire profile you can max it out with a 275/40/zr17 but these are your only two choices for a 17x8 rim and techinically the 275 should be on a 9 inch rim but will work on an 8 inch rim and none of these sizes will not require spedo recal hope this helps

Thanks.. just one last question would the 275/40/zr17 sit right on the 17 by 8's?? and would i the tread wear differently bc their much wider?? any problems that might could come from that?? thanks

they will sit ok the only issue you will have is the tire will ride a lil ruffer and will notice the tread wear away from the edges just a lil not much but only put them on the rear optimum rim size for this tire is a 9.5" rim min is 8.5" and in my years working at tire shops the .5" will not be an issue how ever low profile tires are a pain to mount so go to a good modern shop to have them mounted

I am wanting to do the same thing. Anyone have any pictures of the wheel tire combo on their car. I am going to be needing some tires before long. I dont wanna buy new rims.
