What is the difference between the round intake plenum and the oval plenum? This will be going onto a  4.6 V8 if that matters. And which one would be better for a daily driver but yet still great power?

well on my fox the stock intake plenum was oval, i know that trick flow makes an aftermarket plenum matching the the stock lower intake for foxes, i have a gt-40 upper and lower and their round, not sure if theres any noticable change but i do know that the "handable" horsepower is much more for gt-40 and gt-40's are a bit cheaper in price but i dont think that changing your intake plenum is going to make a difference in power, unless the throttle body size has been increased or you ported the heads intake wise, theres lots of other cheaper ways to add power rather than changing your plenum hope this helps?? i could recommend some stuff but id have to know the basic build up of your engine..are you stock or.. what have you added???

cool a 4.6L will do you well! i think that if you are going to be driving this car every day horsepower isnt the issue its reliability, if you want to add power for the streets i highly recommend you keep it simple as going over board isnt gunna do anything but cost you alot money and be a waste of power,mm&ff just did a great article on rebuliding for cheap called "down low, 5.0"  a good read if you want to generate alot of horses with a couple bucks , if it were me, as i said before keep it simple.. the biggest performance increase you will have on the street is not in the engine surprisingly it's in the gears, choosing the right gears is crucial for having a correct performance car, the next things i would add to a street daily would be little things like a CAI, MAF, fuel reg , and some sticky tires
