I'm building a 64 Fairlane 500 custom and I'm not sure what I should do for the front suspension. My direction for the car is like a street rod or custom, a little lowered but all of the body will be kept stock. I want to use 17x8 bullitt style rims in the front and 17x10.5 bullitt style rims in the back with a four link.
What style of suspension do you suggest I use for the front? I want it to handle decently, but it doesn't have to handle like a go-kart. I have thought about going with a Mustang-II style rack and pinion, but with upgraded A-arms and coil overs.

Back in 1992 I had a 64 Fairlane 500 260 V-8,3sp w/OD,dash pad,2spd wipers, seat belts, backup lights,58,000 original miles.I sure do miss it. I'd go with a Mustang II front. You'll have disc brakes and there are a lot more options open to you.And if I remember right a Lincoln Versailles rear with discs will fit
