1987 LX Fender/Front bumper cover alignment issue

Hey guys, thanks in advance for your assistance. I recently purchased an 87 LX 5.0 that I am just now starting to restore. The problem I ran in to today is that the front bumper cover and the front fenders are no where near lining up. The front fender is about 21" from top to bottom and the bumper cover is around 22.5" from top to bottom. The bumper cover protrudes past the fender by about 1.5" on the bottom when they are lined up at top. The rest of the fender matches perfectly including the hood lines and the door lines and both of the fenders are new but look like everything matches up other than the bumper cover. I don't know if the fenders are for something else but all of the other body lines line up. Any ideas? I have pictures and will get them up if I can in a few minutes. Can't post pics, so here:

but yeah man i think youve purchased 90or91-93 fenders i think i remember reading somewhere the wheel opening was a bit bigger in the recent aero fox years you may want to check out some 87-89 fenders for your 87 try a junkyard im sure theres tons laying around
