What the hecks a T-5

one day i was reading a auto-trader and i saw an ad for a 70 t-5 mustang and this drove me crazy because i couldn't think what the heck a t-5 was
if anyone has any info that would be great

its a 5spd man trans.

thank god it didnt have a c-4 it could have been a suttle way of telling you the cars a bomb lol

I think Ford used that for an export designation. I don't know if it was still in use for the 70 model year. I seem to remember it used in 65-66

a T-5 to my knowledge is a stock transmission in mustangs they can handle up to about 250 hp after that they let loose I hope this helps

T-5's were Mustangs that were sent to Europe. Ford could not use the Mustang name because of another European car already named Mustang. This car may possably be a european version brought back to Mustang mother land. Home sweet home....
