I just recentley bought a 87 5.0 hatchback and found out the floor pan had a hole in it. I looked around and found some places that carry the pan but they only sale them in haves. I only need the drivers side. I was just wondering If anyone ever had to replace the floor pan and if so could you give me some advice. Also I was wondering what should be the next thing i should do with the car bcause as it sits now it is completely stock. Thanks in advance.

Depending on where your hole is and how big it is you could easily patch it.  just cut a the hole to a uniform shape, cut a patch to fit and weld.  Just make sure that you disconnect the battery, move any flamables out of the way, and set up spark blankets.  Also, check out the rest of the floorpan, is it rusted out all over?  Installing a whole new pan is a very big job.

Hope I could help.
