ok as i was saying a few days ago i have just bought a saleen s281. now this is my first v8 mustang ever! so i really dont know what to expect as far as the 1/4 goes. what is the normal time for a stock saleen on the 1/4? and what is something that i can add to make it better? i bought the saleen thinking that a saleen wouldnt really need anything else, but now i just feel like tuning it.

Generally, a Saleen area's of mods are suspension (handling & braking), so unless it's supercharged, it won't produce much different 1/4 mile times than a stock, well-tuned GT w/ a gear (usually Saleen changes the rear gear ratio). Depending on what yr your car is would be the deciding factor on the ET's it'll run.

Look at the year spencer. A '98 saleen won't run 13's if a '05 was pushing it.

A '98 Saleen should run high 14's w/ the right driver at a good track.

Agreed. Saleen didn't start doing the underdrive pulleys and computer flash untill '99. The only power gain you have is the cat back.
Big Thanks to my friends at KR Performance and Restoration out of Nebraska
