I bought a 1993 ford mustang for 100.00 a few months ago, and am finally getting it running.... i was looking around for websites with performance parts for that year..... but am only to find performance parts for the 5.0.  Does anyone know a good website for mustang performance parts on a 2.3 engine??? if so email me at Grandmaster_gabe@hotmail.com

thanks

hi i know that tom morana at www.moranav6racing.com and he has for sure at least one fully ported and polished 2.3 head and if you hurry i know he has a 2.3 turbo engine with like 80,000on it and he wants like 300$ for it if your really into keeping the 2.3 put the turbo kit on it that comes with the merkurxr4ti or the turbocoupe stangs or thunderbirds then you can really play around.

But as for putting a 5.0 in it FORGET IT!!! don`t be like everyone else go to a 3.8 v6 i know tom has all the stuff you need to do the swap and it isn`t very hard at all the v6 cars can make some big powerhe`s gonna be coming out this summer doing 9.90 for shure give him a call 416 4122815

3.8 are weak motors, not as in making power. but holding up. and everyone knows they blow head gaskets. from vans to mustangs. i would go with a 351 myself.

obviously the descision is up to you but suggestions is all you can really get from a website.  but the 3.8 motor isn`t what i would consider a weak motor i mean you can o-ring the block and go with a metal head gasket or just get fords 4 peice gasket whick is guaranteed by ford!  i have a friend frank who is running 16 pounds of boost on his mustang V6 and i know it`s been standing up to alot of beatings but hey the descision is your . actually you know what would be neat if you slapped a turbo on that motor and some other little things and go 4 cylinder.also if your interested i have a 224 motor.it`s basiclly a 460 cut in half an all aluminum 4 cylinder it takes a 460 piston and a 460 rod and a460 cylinder head with clevland mains for had some fun with this motor i guess. but i was aware that there was a guy running this motor in his topilino and he was running 7`s so think about what your gonna do but i strongly suggest the V6 and i strongly suggest for you to call tom morana at 416 4122815 www.moranav6racing.com

Charging a 2.3 is umm....fun, but charging something with 8 holes is where it's at.  Ever wonder why the big three don't put 4 bangers in 5000lb trucks.  Power to weight ratio.

There are a few things you can do to the 4cyl to make insane power (compared to stock). You can search for Esslinger and they have incredible parts for these motors. If your interested in adding a turbo, then go to www.Turoford.org and look around there. Several members have converted the 87-93 cars over to the tbird/Merkur turbo motors.
