does anyone now if I can put 88-93 quarter window's on my 85 hatch, i really dont like the ones it has with those brakets even if they are well painted, they dont look as nice as the tinted 88-93's . im one step away from doing it but I just dont know how hard or easy it is to do it.

I think they will fit. If they do, I'd liek to buy your 85 windows. I like those windows in fox body mustang. I have an 89 i'd like to put them in.

Yes, it's very easy. All of the holes line up, except for the B pillar. The B pillar on the 85 is thinner than the 87-up. What I did was use big washers to grab the B pillar and it has been fine. I've had them on for 5 years with no problem. You will also need some butyl rubber windshield stripping or urethane caulk. The butyl rubber is easier to work with but not as reliable and is getting pretty hard to find. The urethane caulk is what I used. It's about $8 a tube and you can get it at any auto glass and repair store. I only used one tube.
