Well i bought a Power programmer III and asked for help. Not one man or tech bothered to even suggest any settings.
So again my 2002 GT Mustang auto new Power Programmer III
first settings were
93 oct gas
rev +500
thermostate 195 stock
trans 1-2 +200
2-3 +300
3-4 +400
hard shift trans
well sluggish when i drove off feeling disappointed then up to the highway and then to the track
lowend felt real good perfect
mid range kinda blah
hi end could use a little work
race track 1/4 mile before i hit the 3rd gear i passed the 1/4 mile at 13.3 real sucky
reprogrammed and then went to a little ajustment to
rev +500
1-2 +100
2-3 +200
3-4 +400
woww what a difference
1/4 mile did the nice and scariest for me never that fast before even tho i thought of myself as a lead foot
11.5 yahooooo
i am finished i thought i had to at least spread the word
oh and
anyone reading this who ever programs chips or items to make the car faster for performance please make it so there is at least a starting point i was in the blind
now i see the light yeah the blue lights that pulled me over because i was so thrilled about my times ( he even said i was doing 90 was funny to catch up with me at first) We are now dating hes real cute cop No ticket either We did a trade if you know what I mean?? How did you time those runs? No programmer will take 2 seconds off a quarter-mile time. That's ludicrous.

have the print out to prove it and learned to power break and shift from 1-drive at the stage
i am so proud and i weight only 105 and everyone says that seemed like the car was driving by itself
i raced a 98 mustang friend and she was 140 lbs and when i drive her car and power break it get a little faster but also its the technic
hey now i am talking like a pro hahahaha wishful thinking
now on my 69 el camino differnt story that has a brand new engine performer rpm cam 390 gears 450 holly 350 eng well dialing that is is such a *** too computers are so much nicer
still tuning and doing 12 on the 69 i cant stop the burn outs traction bars not really helping but so much more work
anyway back to the stang in the begining the car was sluggish and doing 15's yuk now it seems like a new car almost like my 2000 z28 camaro but how to compare apple to oranges now way
now i can use this car at night as a sleeper
oh yeah race ya!
Aloha

I've had the opportunity to see dozens and dozens of Mustangs, Vettes, Z-28's, Firebirds and a slew of others tested, and there is absolutely no way your '02 Mustang ran an 11.5 in the 1/4 mile. Your car weighs about 3,500 lbs., which would take about 475 RWH to accomplish this. Unfortunately for you, with or with out chip or programmer, your car only has about 225-230 RWH. Couple that with an automatic, and you would be lucky to run 14.5. So, with all of this said, you either ran an 1/8th mile and thought it was a quarter, are trying to pull a joke on everyone, or just flat out lying. To expect people to acually believe this is an insult.

I knew something was screwed up on that time but the '02 GT has 260 stock hp so where are you getting the 225-230 hp?

The 206hp factory is usually close to flywheel hp. From the flywheel to rear you lose about 15 - 20% on a manual and up to 25% with an automatic.

Muskrat's right. The 260HP rating is what the engine should make if it were out of the car on an engine dyno. The 225-230 RearWheelHorsepower (RWH)or(RWHP) is what you are acually getting to the pavement, which in return is what gets you through the 1/4 mile.

you sound like a person i know, do you live in washington, I know this guy that thinks his blue mustang with white stripes on it is the ####, and talks the talk and can't walk the walk. I'm sorry but theres know way your v6 will do that time, with what you have now on it. it might run 14's but thats it. It;s just hard to beleave you when a stock GT only runs 12 or 13's...

I don't think you know what you're talking about. It's an '02 GT, not a V6. And a stock GT won't even run 13s, let alone 12s. That's rediculous. My '01 Cobra runs a 13.4 stock with a hurst shirter and street tires. Timed with a GTECH Pro competiton.

i have to agree i also have a 94 gt conv. on my gtech pro i ran a best of 14. 59 and i have some work done to it and cobra ran 12.27 on the gtech. It will beat an 04 gt couple so there is no way you ran in or around a 13 sorry
