okay i just bought a 1991 mustang with a fresh t-5 tranny...i have a fresh 351 cleveland and top loader tranny...this is just a second project car..so my questions are...who makes the best and cheapest kits to install the cleveland and top loader in this car..some people have questioned the strength of the t-5 but i would like the extra gear....so please email me with any companys kits to go either way t-5 or toploader....like i said this is a second play car so i would like to do it as cheap as possible thank you kevin walker

I don't know who makes a kit for what you want, but maybe you could find out by doing a lot of phone calling (speed shops,etc.) My 2 cents worth, though, I'd say keep the 302. With fuel injection these days you can make some serious power. If you just want something different, I'd recomend a 351 Windsor, because it's in the same family as the 302 (Windsor). Thirty years ago the Cleveland was the engine of choice for high performance, but with all of the modern parts for the Windsor family, you'll make far more power. Besides, you can find anything you could want (the kits for the T-5 & 351 W are plentiful), and run fuel injection (if you wanted).
