I've been trying to decide what exhaust package is the best.  I know borla has 1 million mile warranty, and go strictly for performance, but do they sound good?  I know flowmasters sound good, but do they perform well?  I don't know anything about bassani or MAC or any other good brands, somone please let me know which is the best!

Thanks a lot fellows

taste has alot to do w/ it. Horse power does too.  Personaly, I like 1-5/8 shorties(mac,bbk)w/ a Bassani X-pipe and 2-1/2" flowmaster cat back. These parts all flow really well, and I've allways have gotton compliments on the sound.  If you're going to run good aftermarket heads and/or a blower go w/ long tubes and a X-pipe.

Whatever you do, don't just buy something because its cheap, you'll pay for it down the road ......

I suggest going with BBK's longtube ceramics 1-5/8", #15160 ....... or 1-3/4", #15940 ........

The matching BBK short H-pipe w/cats, #1509 ...... or short X-pipe w/cats, #???? (in the Summit Racing catalog)

Then run whichever catback you prefer, I run the 3-chamber Flowmaster, but prefer the sound of the Magnaflow cat-backs.  Personally, I think some of the borla systems are tooo quiet.

I would also go w/ the BBK longtubes. The h-pipe(in general) is supposed to give a lower/deeper tone and the x-pipe is supposed to be a higher tone, but still have the throaty sound. i would go w/ the bassaini x because, X's are supposed to give you more hp and i heard that the BBK is no good. For a catback i would go with the flowmaster 2 chamber American Thunder

i personally have mac 1 5/8 shorty equal length headers, mac off road h-pipe, and also mac catback system. i am very please with the way my stang sounds, ITS LOUD!  i have friends that have flowmaster exhaust on their stangs and i think my exhuast sounds way better. mac makes nice clean cheap catback systems that sound better then those olds flow's.  if your looking for a nice deep throaty aggresive sounding car then go with mac.

I orderd my kit strait from jegs. It is a cat back flowmaster american thunder series. Basically they are 2 chamber mufflers 2.5 inch free flow exhaust. With the whole kit in place as it should it sounds pretty quiet until you reach the 2000, or 2500 rpm. Then she sounds Deep mellow tone exhaust.

Curently I have mine without the rear tail section on it and it is way to loud. Sounds good for riding around town and stuff but if you need to go somewhere on an hour drive it gets pretty montontus. the tone gives me a headache going up and down the hills of arkansas.

Whatever you get make sure you tack weld the joints. Mine moved on me after I clamped it on and it rubbed a hole in my rear section of pipe (hence why they are off).

If you go to www.flowmaster.com and www.magnaflow.com and www.borla.com they all have sound clips I believe that can help you out. Personally I think the borla's sound the best but they cost an arm and a leg for the sound and lifetime warranty!

Hope I helped ya out. Someone Help me out with a left corner light for a 92 stang.

I've ran flowmaster
all the way with bbk long tubes on my old set up (5.0 with just bolt ons) it was the famous mustang tone and a good level of sound!

now i run 1 3/4 mac long tubes, bbk 2.5 x pipe and mac mufflers with lx chrome tails on a 351w........i love the sound, it has a nice medium tone until you open her up then all *** breaks loose. i've been complimented on the sound! but to each there own!
