Anybody know of the perfect rim tire combo for a 04 cobra? What I mean is the widest possable and offset to level the rear tire with the fender lip. The rims now are stock chrome five spoke. Any info is helpful. Thanks.

I am also looking for the right combo on my 2004 Cobra.  And I have another question,  anyone have any thoughts on going from 17" to 18" on 2004 Cobra?  What does the 1" difference affect, spedo, tranny, whatever.  I would appreciate any thoughts on moving from 17" wheels to 18" on 2003 or 04 Cobra.

Depends on the profile of your tire you can check it at www.allfordmustangs.com.  Go to tech towards the top of the screen and select calculators and decoders.  Then go to the tire size calculator and enter your current tire size and the size you want.  It will give you the overall height and the difference between the two.  

I just swapped out the rims and tires on my '03 Cobra.  Discount Tire sells chrome 03/04 style replica rims in 10 1/2" for the rear.  I placed 315/35/17 Nitto 555 Drag Radials on the rear.  The Nitto 315's actually fit fine since they're a little smaller than true "315" sized tires like the BFG's (which will not fit).
