On Friday morning i went to a ford dealership,im getting a new car soon and i was maybe gonna go for a V8. I tried out an 03 Mustang GT even though power was impressive it didnt fo-fill my needs. So i tried out a 01 Mustang GT Roush Stage 2 (as all of u mustang fans may no it has no blower).It was really impressive but it was a little 2 much they wur asking for 35 thousand.I went home kinda dissapointed and maybe thinking about getting the 03 GT. On saturday night i was on my way 2 my girlfriends house when a guy in a Black Mach 1 pulls up next 2 me. He had 2 gurls with him, he starts revving his engine(damn that car is sweet),it was loud i could immediately tell he wasnt running stock .I only revved mine to about 4 rpm and let the sound of the blow off valve on my 94 GSX warn him that i wasnt stock either.He rolls down his window and i do to 2 my suprise he was laughing he pointed at the light so i just rolled my window up. I really thaught this guy was gonna beat me,the light turned green after a few seconds and it was on,I got him in first,second,third,damn.I stop and he pulls up nest to be we wur on a 30 mile per hour roll.He said he missed second,he also says he wants to go at it again at the next light so after 2 more lights we stop.I put my car in second gear(giving this guy in his mach 1 a brake.)To my suprise this guy was still right next 2 me and he started off rite,he shift 2 second and i shift 2 third and it was bye bye Mach 1. I cant believe i beat a car that is sweet a$s hell,next thing u know i rev my car this time this guy doesnt even say anything anymore,he just takes a right turn at the next street.i know most of uz arent gonna believe this and i dont expect anybody to believe it,i simply cant believe the lack of performance in the mach 1.i thaught only guys in imports turned right after they realized they got beat by a V8...,hmmmmmm i guess that statement wasnt even close to being true.Before i hear any of the messages from anybody saying he missed a gear or some lame excuse ,he didnt,its reality some of us Import enthusiasts do know how to modify a car,just because theres movies about the scene does not mean it barely started,the import scene has been going on for over a decade,but it is getting sadly torn up by what we call posers,a guy with a body kit and a fart can isnt a true tuner,he is just some kid that just got a honda and decided to add  an underbody neon kit,and a few decals in his mirror,thinking he just added 25 horses to his car(yeah rite)you mustang fanatics didnt start the racing era for all i know street racing and racing has been going on ever since the first 2 cars hit the streets,Our scene isnt about kids running around with baggy pants and a pimped out fu(k&d up ride,its about speed and originality,just because u saw a movie with imports in it dont imeddiatley jump to conlclusions,look for the real facts first before most of u Mustang ellite members or what ever open ur mouths again.  

how fast did you get up to?  gearing + AWD + good shifting can make up for alot ont he street esspecially at low speed.   if you indeed are only making 25hp over stock both, should pull on you if you went from a roll at highway speeds.

 Actually it was a 30 mph roll, and the GSX is producing 327 HP its alot more than 25hp over stock,the GSX is rated at 200. Ive only spend 2,300 in mods thats more than what the car originally cost me,by any chance do u know how much an off-road x pipe for a 99 GT would cost?  

if you are putting down 300+ at the wheels there is no reason you shouldn't walk on a mach making 320BHP.

You started off sounding cool and then kinda slid into insults but hey, whatever.  A couple of points though:

1.  You got a GSX doing 327 at the wheels, Hey cool that's a fast car in anybodies book.  I love my GT but I don't screw with forced induction cars. (yet)

2.  Not making excuses, but an AWD car IS eaiser to drive fast thena RWD car.  I've been practicing for a year and still blow launches on street tires all the time.  Just think,  Assuming same power, AWD has half the torque per wheel of RWD.  Way easier to control wheel spin.

3.  If you are really looking at Mustangs to buy and the GT and Roush are too slow, Look at hte '03 Cobra.  As I'm sure your car has taught you Boost=Fun.  And in case you buy one, Welcome to the Light Side of the Force.

Most of you Import drivers( or rice burners ) want to talk about i beet him or i got more hp. You can make anything fast. Braggen about 327hp, thats not all that much for a V8 but its a amazing thing for a 4 banger. Ya with a car that weighs 2500 or 3000, ya thats fast. Thats good that you got your car up to that standard. Most of us V8 drivers dont realy talk about smoken a ricer on the streets because its not that grate of a acomplishment Me I cant fit in one of thoughs bowls of rice. I need a bigger car. not just any car, a car with meening. A car with reputation. A car with V8 rumble power. A AMERICAN CAR. A MUSTANG.

I am of the ellite and I dont have to open my mouth to *** on imports. I let my snake bitten horse do the $hitten. You better bring a hole hell of a lot more car if your going to be running your mouth like that. Congragulations  its only took you Import lovers 35 or 40 year or however long imports have been in the US to finely start running with us. Just as my name says I will de-tune your tuner a$$ whin i see you at a stop light.

That dont matter anyway, lots of imports are made in the USA also, and they are still rice burners. Was the Mach1 really not stock? You must know because you talked to him. The sound of a car means nothing. You must have forgotten what you said since you think you never "ran your mouth or called anyone out." Need I remind you that in your original message you said "to look for the real facts before you mustang elite members or whatever run your mouths again" and you said you were disappointed in the mach 1's and gt's.  I don't know, but that sounds like running your mouth to me.  Maybe you forgot because you were actually taking all weekend to think about how to write your message.  Or maybe out flipping burgers trying to save up so you could actually afford to buy a mustang or bean burner as you say.  How can you get 127 hp over stock by only spending $2300?  A friend of mine is a rice burner.  He says that's hard to believe.  Are you just squeezing?  

Oh and welcome to the Mustang world. Check out www.upr.com. They have the cheapest setup for a '03, '04 cobra. Puts you at 500hp. For around $1300. But you get what you pay for. Be careful of that IRS. I have a '03 Cobra too and I broke the rearend at 4500 miles. Im pushing well over 500hp.   

the mach is only 305 bhp not 320  

Rated hp is different than actual engine hp output.  Ford under rates all their engines.  I've heard of stock mach 1's producing more than 275 hp at the rear wheels.  Add 15% due to loss of hp in drive train and you'll get a little less than 320 hp at the fly wheel.
