Quick question,  I have a 97 Ford F-150, 4.6 ,  5 speed.  Can I use the same parts from the Mustang 4.6 on my F-150 engine. Granted that it will fit under the hood and in the engine bay.  Thanks

it depends if it is a windsor or romeo motor, and what type of head you are running on the mustang. they could be the power improved head unlike some of the f-150's

I don't know about the head at all. It's not a 351w just the stock 4.6 that came in it.  I have not ran the numbers yet. I'll work on that and get back to you.  Did the 4.6 have different makes or models?  Is there a difference between any other of the 4.6 made?   I thought they were all casted the same.  Any help would be appreciated.   Summit could not help me at all.

now adays it wont matter if its a 351w , because they dont put them in cars from factory, but there is however a romeo and a windsor 4.6l & 5.4l, in order to do the job properly you must know what you have ,i work for ford as a tech so i know what im talking about! and the intake port on the head will determine weather its power improved or not.little round ports are non. round square ports that are larger are power improved, the pcm will effect how it runs determining whitch one you use and witch intake you use!
