I was wondering if anyone has heard anything about a cobra in 2005, when the body changes? Someone told me that they were going to stop production, and I didn't believe him. There is now way they are going to stop production on a car like that. I also heard that it was just going to be a GT with different wheels, suspension, and exhaust, but the same engine as the GT...Does anyone know about the future of SVT Cobras????  

Last I heard production will be stopped for 05 and come back in 06, and it wont be the same as a GT.  

Last I heard from family members in ford C.O.B was tha the cobra will be one of the fastest car ever mass produced by fomoco.  no word on stopping production.  

there is no 05 cobra. actualy there wont be an svt for 05.  in 06 though, there will be a 500hp lightning, hopefully a turbo focus, supercharged navigator, supercharged marauder, and mabe a v10 mustang. that would probably be the cobra.  

yes svt won't be making anything for 05 in preperation for 06.  the cars that are a lock to be back in the SVT lineup for 06 are the lightning, cobra, and the focus.  Anything after that is purely speculation, the merauder is about to be axed, sales are horrible, and there is some RUMOR about a ranger.  this is from all i have heard, i'm usually lurking aroung 5-6 ford and mustang sites daily.
