I have a 1996 Mustang Cobra. I am going to buy a supercharger for it but i want a few people opinion on what is the best. I have always heard that Kenny Bell superchargers are the best. But readers if you were in my shoes what would you go ***

mm and ff had an issue on this topic and all the centrifugal superchargers' gains are too close to be worried about which one to buy. i dont remember the exact stats but they had around a 10 hp diff. I am looking at the kenne bell becuase of what it did to the 03 cobra. but when i went on thier site they said that a 302 with AFR heads, a cam, a cold air, tb, and the blozilla/flowzilla(supposedly their best sc) only put out a little over 500 hp. a friend told me that mm and ff had an issue with the 302 and afr heads alone. he said the car mad around 400 hp. that leaves the kenne bell with a 100 hp gain. any other supercharger will do that too. i trust mm and ff so i am kinda skidish about the kennebell for a cobra. i think it is better for the gt's b/c they give you a intake manifold with the kit and the gt needs that

Prochargers! goto the website and ge a catalog. They are pretty inexpensive compared to the others, come with intercoolers, have the best warranties, and they are safer, Self-contained ( has its own oil supply). MM and FF did like 2 stories on prochargers, i dont know which issues they were in tho. they put a stock 5.0 with exhaust in the 11.7's with the lowest model and a 2 core intercooler.

the supercharger depends on the application
the kennebell is a belt driven along with saleen's superchager. belt driven sc's are good for automatic'c b/c the produce more bottom end torque.
for a durability and power i would go with the vortech. procharger is not that great. their gains comes with a intercooler package. if you get the aftercooler with vortech it will out perform most other supercharges
ask MV performance and they will tell you the same
