You know ... its bout time we get back to the real matter of this subject.  Im a 17 year old Junior in high school who has had the great chances to be able to spend most of my spare time around cars and learn about them. I respect all Blue Ovals/Bowties/and sometimes Rams  but most of all i respect the cars power and drivetrains.  

    About two months ago I was driving my brother's 99 Mustang Cobra(note:My brothers) ran into a lil buddy of mine in his SS... (i had 3 17s around and 1 16 on the rear passenger tire) hes the no respect im spoiled my parents bought my car type... we raced.. and i pulled by about a car 1/2 ... beside the point (brother's car  wasnt stock wont duscuss now) any way i had pass up my exit so i got off the next exit on the interstate and i got off, getting back on the interstate I was suprised by a car behind me hauling ass so i got on it in order to keep his front end off my rear end.. the tire 16in tire on my car blew out i slid across the interstate into a tree or 2 doing about 65mph.  totaled the car...

     I totaled the car.. im a statistic and reason for high insurance cost on most all of you guys driving these cars... but why do people look down on me? why when i say i wrecked my car.. without explanation everyone assumes that i have no respect .. what stops an older 30yr old from doin the same thing as me? i respect the cars more than half the older guys out there... you dont see me talkin #### or running my mouth or my parents giving me anything i want.. not all of us did it on pupose... let us explain but for the rest of the 99.9% that did... hate on them.. but hear their story first dont just jump on them like its all heir fault  

    i pay all my bills and im in high school.. insurance , car note, cell phone,  gas, my parents help very little.. only when they want to...

     I know that nobody directed anything in any bad way at me or the kids like me.. but do me a favor and dont jump the gun for any of us... anybody coulda did it...  show us a little respect,  b/c most of us have the upmost respect for yall and lose it b/c of the way yall have to be and act like we cant do what yall have done...  and yes i know it takes experience..

 

I agree im 16 i bought my 90 gt with my money.its heavily modified i bought all tha parts and put them on my self.Me and my friend both have GTs he has a 98 4.6 GT that he also payed for.Neither one of us have ever wrecked,and we do race,but its away from all others so no one gets hurt.Not all of us are little rich turds.At least we dont drive ricers.

Reference the "98%" of people to some post where you have offered any real tech advice.  Everyone is quite capable of looking over the threads and seeing that you are the "little *** that starts the insults (if they want to waste the time doing so).

See the problem with your claims is you have no posts and threads to reference .......  just lies.  This whole thing started because I made a little sarcastic post and you got all up in arms and made a comment about "my mom".

You have never backed anyone into a corner (if you feel somewhere you have, prove it with a reference to some thread).  All you've done is post profanity......whoop tee doo.  Great, so you can cuss!  Here's a cookie!!

All I want is for you to give us some reference to a series of posts to back up any of your lies.  And don't try pulling them out of context you degenerate.

You know, I'm 32 and I kind of agree w/ you. Only I was one of those young guys that DIDN"T have the respect. Yes, I bought my car myself, upgraded it myself, and ultimately, totaled it myself. For me, that's how I learned how to respect. I'll never forget that car. It was a 1971 split from bumper camaro w/ a badd-ass 350! Muncy 4-speed, Rock-Crusher clutch, 430 rear gear, Holley-750 Vacuum secondary, Keystone Classic wheels w/ 50 series tires, headers and flow-masters. It was bright red w/ a primer-black hood that had a 6 inch hood scoop. Flared fender wells and sat about 4 inches off the ground. My dad and uncle helped me build it. I had the car on the road for about a month. I totaled it racing a guy that was 30 yrs old and had a hell of a lot more experience racing. I came out bruised and cut-up, but there NO recovery for the car. Fram was twisted like a pretzel and the motor came to rest about 6 ft from the rest of the car. I was crushed. All the #### I talked only did one thing...make look as stupid as I really was at the time.  What you younger guys have to understand is that respect is something you have to earn. Hopefully not the way I did. Most people my age see the people your age and see how they act, like a bunch of stupid kids that dont have repect for anyone or anything, particularly the machines they THINK they're in control of. What a lot of the people MY age need to understand is that we were young once, too....and we need to remember how good it felt when the older guy with the kick-ass ride said to us," That's a bad-ass car you got there, kid."
