What is a decent sound system for a 94-98 GT mustang. I know the  stock system is ok but I want to go aftermarket. What is a good brand to go with. Is there any websites devoted to mustang sound modification??? Does anyone have pics of there sound system? Thanks for any help.

Kenwood offers decent sound and a good affordable selection. Its all about opinion and how loud you want to go.

I have a 95' Mustang with an aftermarket sound system. I put a Panasonic cd player that gos to two amps one 4channel and one 2channel(Rockford Fosgate amps). The 4channel powers the speakers that are in the car, tweeters and mids(Fosgate) and 6x9s(JVC dont ask) in the back. For subs I have 2 10" Kaptions rms of 400w and a max peak of 800w a speaker. Thats my sound system and it rocks, loud and clear.

the 2channel is putting out 545W

the 4channel is putting out 82W per channel

If you want to go aftermarket you can get as wild as you want.  I have a 96 gt with a Pioneer head unit (looks cool and I don't use the onboard amps at all).  The mustang has two seperate DIN openings in the dash and I used the lower on (seperate cd or change tray originally) for a kenwood digital equilizer.  Thats my best investment so far.  It lets me fine tune curves and crossover settings on the run.  To 12in. subs got stuffed in the trunk with a Rockford 2400watt pushing them.  Then I built an amp rack and mounted a JL audio 375/4 for the original speakers and upgraded them to Infinity Kappa ceramics.  (great sound there)  The ford speaker size is 6x8  which is a little weird but you can find some good deals if you look.  I use ebay a lot.  Then I got board and took the seat back out of the rear seat and with some fiddilind took it apart and mounted two cerwin-vega 6x9's in the seat back and installed a Sony 200/2 amp to power them.  At this point I was out of power in the car so I threw a 2.2 Farad cap in so my lights would stay on.   I did all the install myself but all told I'm only out about $1500 for the whole deal.  And it's real loud.  My best bang for the buck result came from the EQ. and speakers 5 and 6.  The seat back install only took about four hours,  they are completly invisable. you can still sit in the back seat and they sound great.  there is lots of oppertunity in this car for experimentation so just go wild.  Hope this helps.

I don't know the type of tunes you play but. If you are looking for subs I would like to remind you of the fact that your spare is mounted in the trunk under any box that you would need. I already found a solution, if you are any good with wood. The JL W3 10" sub requies only a12" tall box.the opening from your seat to the trunk is 12.5". All you need is a stop no the floor, so when you need the spare you can fold the rear seat down push the box back change your tire slide the box back and fold the seat back up with out the box moving allabout. Had 2 kicker compvr that was a *** to change the tire. switch to the JL and it is easy as stock.
Also have alpine d310 tv in dash with the brain mounted under the pasenger seat, both fit like a glove. And 2 sets of Infinity kappa componets. with one set fo tweeters mounted on the door by the mirror and the other set by above the seatbelt.
This is the best that I have found for me.

i have a 94 gt with the ford mach 460 sound system. im very satisfied with it...it gets really loud with no fuzz. ive got a pioneer head unit in it that works it just fine. the system could use a little more bass, but on the pioneer head unit all you have to do is turn the loud to "hi" and the bass gets a lot louder.
