What you need is a gear puller. It'll have three fingers that go around whatever it is you're pulling off instead of bolting to it like that steering wheel puller.

I hate to jump in here Eagle...but I disagree with you. I used to work for autozone...and they have a tool specifically for a power steering pulley. If you use a gear pulley on our pumps, it WILL bend and ruin them (trust me I know). The pulley tool has 2 fingers that are close together and it grips the lip of the pulley right at the shaft...and then screws down onto the shaft...pushing the pulley off the shaft. Works VERY well and does not risk bending the pulley at all. Go back and ask them for this tool...and if they cant help you, find another autozone or an advanced auto. Mr86GT

thanks for the help.
i toke it back and thay had the wright one.but it was broken so i had to go to another one and get it.just to get it home and have no clue on how to use it.so 1 hour later i ask the crack head that lives next to me (thats allways up fixing hes or someones truck)if he can help me. he came up there tryed to use the tool and in like 3 min he grabs some of my tools and got the bolts out without removeing the pully at all. funny what a crack head can do.lololol
he used a swivoel end to get at it from under and around it.
so i did all that running around and pulling my hair out for nothing.

Since you already worked at Auto Zone you'd be the man to speak about it. Cool. I didn't know about that specific power steering pulley tool. I'll remember that.

hi, go to advanced auto parts ask them for a power steering pump pulley puller its a kit that has a hardend two pieces that go around the snout of the pulley, and a threaded shaft with a round spindle like piece on it the two circle pieces clamp on the front lip of the pulley and this spindle and a little round sleeve slides over the two pieces holding them in place, take a wrench hold the back of the spindle and another wrench turn the threaded shaft it should butt up against the power steering pump shaft inside the pulley always use plenty of 20 or 30 weight oil on the threaded shaft. after it butts up to the pump shaft slowly tighten the threaded shaft with your wrench while still holding the back of the spindle with the other wrench, It will be hard at first then you should hear a pop that's the pulley breaking loose keep turning the threaded shaft it will slowly com off. i hope this helps if you have not already got it off.
