I have a 04 GT.  Runs great but I have a really annoying problem that has been there since I got the car.  Under (heavy acceleration) when changing from 2nd to 3rd gear there is this annoying squeak that almost sounds like the drive belt slipping.  I took it to the dealership several times and they had no idea what the hell could be causing it.  Last time I took it to them they said that under (Normal) driving they saw no problem so I left it at that before they started saying I was abusing it.  They did replace the belt tensioner and the clutch and pressure plate also.  DOES ANYONE have any ideas or has Anyone ever had such a problem?  I am stumped on this one.

hey fast pony. i too had this little problem with my 97. but it was 2 different things. 1 the belt was getting flexed when I banged gears i put a lil belt dressing on it that you can get at auto zone and it cleared it up. and another noise that was getting on my last nerve when i grabbed a gear turned out to be my control arms.
